My favorite part of having an energy advisor is that I don't have to track all these energy companies and their crazy rate deals that confuse me endlessly. Now Janna just calls me if anything needs to change.

Where does Think Energy offer 100% clean electricity?
Outside of Connecticut, Think Energy offsets 100% of consumer electricity consumption with renewable energy certificates produced by wind, solar, and hydro resources. Think Energy's products in Connecticut continue to meet Connecticut's renewable portfolio standard, but currently do not meet the specific regulatory requirements that permit them to be marketed as "clean," "renewable," or "green" under Connecticut's regulatory framework.
What is energy deregulation?
In deregulated energy markets, you get to choose your electricity supplier—which means you're not locked into your local utility's rates. Your utility still delivers your power, handles outages, reads your meter, and sends your bill. Think Energy simply provides the electricity supply at the rate you've agreed to. You get one bill, the same reliable service, and the freedom to choose who you buy your energy from.
Who do I contact if my power goes out?
Your local utility. They're still responsible for delivering your electricity and maintaining the infrastructure—that doesn't change when you switch suppliers. Contact them directly for any outage or emergency.
Where does my clean electricity come from?
Think Energy purchases renewable energy certificates (RECs) produced by wind, solar, and hydro resources to offset your electricity consumption.
What is a Renewable Energy Certificate?
A Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) represents proof that one megawatt-hour of electricity was generated from a renewable energy source and delivered to the grid. Think Energy purchases RECs to match your home's consumption—so even though the electrons flowing into your home aren't tracked individually, your usage is offset by the same amount of clean energy delivered somewhere on the grid. It's the standard mechanism used across the industry to support renewable energy development.
Which markets is Think Energy licensed to operate in?
Think Energy is currently licensed in Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island.
How do I transfer my service to a new address?
Service transfers depend on your location. Contact Think Energy's customer care team and we'll work through the options with you. Depending on your area, we'll either process the move or help you transition your account.
Will I pay a fee to switch to Think Energy?
Think Energy doesn't charge a fee to switch. Your previous supplier may charge an early termination fee on their end—we recommend confirming that with them before you make the move. Any credits owed by a previous supplier may also be affected.
How do I change my Think Energy plan?
Call us Monday–Friday, 8am–8pm EST at 1-888-923-3633 and we'll help you find the right plan for where you are now.
Does a service transfer affect my contract?
If your new address is within Think Energy's service area, your existing contract stays in effect—only the service address changes. If you're moving outside our service area, that may affect your contract terms. Give us a call and we'll sort it out.
How long does it take to switch?
Typically 1–2 billing cycles, depending on your utility's meter reading schedule and when you enrolled.
How do I cancel?
Contact Think Energy's customer care team. Please review your contract terms for any details specific to your plan, including early termination provisions.
Who do I contact with questions about my bill?
For supply charge questions, contact Think Energy at 1-888-923-3633, Monday–Friday, 8am–8pm EST. For delivery charges, outages, or infrastructure questions, contact your local utility directly.
Do Early Termination Fees apply to me?
Early Termination Fees apply to all Think Energy commercial customers, as well as Texas residential customers. They do not apply to residential customers outside of Texas. Check your individual contract for the specifics.
What is the Product Change Fee?
The Product Change Fee lets existing customers modify their rate by contacting the Think Energy care team and paying a one-time fee of $29.95.
